From I-80W take Exit #19 to CR 517, travel south toward Hackettstown approximately 5 miles. At the traffic light in downtown Hackettstown make a right onto US-46 W (Main St.). Go approximately 9 miles to hatchery entrance on eastbound side.

Park Overview
Three short blazed nature trails, two abandoned railbeds, and a trout hatchery, plus opportunities to bushwhack in this wildlife management area paralleling the Pequest River.
Trail Overview
- Three short marked trails are located in the trout hatchery area. The Red Trail is an interpretative trail. All three trails may be combined for form a 1.2 mile loop hike. Use the Web Map link on this site to view a copy of the "Pequest Trails Guide," which includes a trail map and brief description of each trail.
- Two abandoned railbeds pass through Pequest wildlife management area; most of the ties have been replaced with a cinder surface. One access point is via the trout hatchery entrance road.

Pequest Wildlife Management Area
Pequest Wildlife Management Area parallels the Pequest River east of the intersection of US 46 and NJ 31 in Warren County, the 5,000-acre Pequest WMA is managed for upland game hunting and trout fishing. A unique facility is its Trout Hatchery and Natural Resource Education Center
